Offering Quality

Classical Ballet Training for Ages Three Through Adult

The primary purpose of Natchez Ballet Academy is to provide students with quality training in the art of dance.  During their early education, students should develop a sense of personal responsibility for their accomplishments.  Ballet is an avenue through which they can build this attitude.  Students not only develop motor skills, performance skills and knowledge of Ballet and it's history, they are given a foundation for building the self-confidence, social skills, and self-discipline necessary for success in life.

Intermediate and advanced students are encouraged to get a copy of Classical Ballet Technique by Gretchen Ward Warren

Tips:

Attention to detail makes a step, combination  or variation complete.  Footwork needs to be accurate, and arms should coordinate with the movement.  Think about the beginning and ending of each movement.  In class, hold the end of each exercise for a count of three before moving away.
